DAY 1 – MON. MAY 13 – DEPART USA – Today we depart Dallas/Ft. Worth for our overnight flight to Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, Israel with a connection in Newark.
DAY 2 – TUE. MAY 14 – ARRIVE ISRAEL – Arrive Tel Aviv. You will meet your English speaking Tour Guide, after going through Passport Control, and collecting your luggage. You will be transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem.
DAY 3 – WED. MAY 15 – THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF JERUSALEM – Western Wall tunnel excavations | Temple Mount in Jerusalem | Jewish Quarter | (Lunch at Quarter Café) | Hezekiah’s Wall | The Herodian Museum | St. Peter Gallicantu (traditional House of Caiphas) | The Israel Museum / Shrine of the Book with the Dead Sea Scrolls/The Holy Land Model.
DAY 4 – THU. MAY 16 -THE OLD CITY – Southern Wall Excavations at Dung Gate | Mt. Zion | Coffee at Domitian Church | Upper City of David| Hezekiah’s Tunnel | Warren’s Shaft | Garden of Gethsemane | St. Stephen’s Gate | Pool of Bethseda Sisters of Zion (traditional site of Praetorium)| Via Dolorosa | Damascus Gate | Garden Tomb and Gordon’s Calvary.
DAY 5 – FRI. MAY 17 – BETHLEHEM / JERUSALEM – Excursion to Bethlehem | Shepherd’s Fields as viewed from the highway | Manger Square (Church of the Nativity and Jerome’s Cave) | Shopping. Restaurant in Jerusalem. View of Old City of Jerusalem from Mount of Olives | Orientation of Old City Gates (general drive through historic sites in city).

DAY 8 – MON. MAY 20 – SEA OF GALILEE- View from Monastery at Mt. Carmel | Megiddo | Plain of Jezreel | Mt. Tabor | Cana | Beth Shean | Jordan River Baptismal Site | Capernaum | Private Boat Ride on Sea of Galilee
DAY 9 – TUE. MAY 21 – BORDER CROSSING /JORDAN / MADABA – Today we tour Petra, the ancient Edomite and Nabatean capital, and “Rose Red City half as old as time.” We’ll see the spectacular “city of the dead,” with its famed gorge, ancient streets, temples, dwelling places and tombs carved in solid rock. Our visit includes a two-mile journey on horseback or a walk through the famous Siq (the natural gorge) to arrive at the Treasury. We can see Roman temple ruins of the Roman city, the Nabatean Judgement Hall, palace tombs, famous Urn Temple and the Roman Amphitheater. A climb of several hundred steps to the “high places” might appeal to the adventurous. Afterwards we travel to the Dead Sea for dinner and two overnights.
DAY 11 – THU. MAY 23 – DEAD SEA Day of leisure at the Dead Sea.
DAY 12 – FRI. MAY 24 – JORDAN / BORDER CROSSING Return to Tel Aviv | Visit to Tell el-Hamman Excavation Project | Jordanian Baptismal Site en route | Allenby Bridge Crossing | Pick up any sites remaining and shopping in Jerusalem | Farewell dinner last evening overlooking the Mediterranean|
DAY 13 – SAT. MAY 25 – TEL AVIV / USA After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our return flight back to the USA. Arrive same day.
