Day by Day Travel Itinerary
  • DAY 01 Wed . Dec . 28
    DEPART USA
    Our journey of a lifetime begins with departure on a wide body jet. After take-off, we will be served dinner and breakfast en-route to Tel Aviv.
  • DAY 02 Thu . Dec . 29
    ARRIVE IN TEL AVIV/ NETANYA
    Upon arrival, we are met by our tour guide and bus driver. After passport control and baggage claim we board our private motor coach and drive through the modern city of Tel Aviv, including Jaffa and stop briefly at Simon the Tanner’s home (if time permits). From there, we drive north to Netanya where we check in for dinner and overnight Island Suites hotel overlooking the Mediterranean
  • DAY 03 Fri . Dec . 30
    CAESAREA MARITIME / MOUNT CARMEL / JEZREEL VALLEY / NAZARETH / CANA / TIBERIAS
    Each mile tells a story in our trip! We begin at Caesarea Maritime where Peter affirmed Gentile believers (Acts 10). Here, we also see the sunken harbor, hippodrome, theatre, and Roman aqueduct. Following, we pass through Haifa and the Carmel mountains where Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal on our way to Tel Megiddo. Following Tel Megiddo, we proceed to Nazareth and experience the first-century town of Nazareth Village. If time permits, we will landscape the first-century village of Sephoris. We end the day at Caesar Hotel overlooking the Sea of Galilee for the next three nights.
  • DAY 04 Sat . Dec . 31
    AROUND THE SEA OF GALILEE
    Today, we enjoy a memorable boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We invest the day in the sites surrounding the Sea of Galilee. These sites may include the Church of Multiplication, Church of St. Peter’s Primacy, Mt. of the Beatitudes, Magdala, and Bethsaida. We visit Capernaum and see St. Peter’s house. We end our day upon Mt. Arbel for a spectacular view of the Sea of Galilee.
  • DAY 05 Sun . Jan . 01
    MT. HERMON/CAESAREA PHILIPPI / BAPTISM
    We drive north through the Galilean Mountains to Tel Dan where we combine a nature walk beside the upper Jordan River with views of ancient ruins, including the high place that supported Jeroboam’s golden calf (1 Kings 12). Nearby is the spring of Banias in Caesarea Philippi where Peter confessed his recognition of Jesus as Christ, the Son of God (Matthew 16). We enjoy lunch in a Druze village and finish the day exploring the Golan heights on our descent back to the Sea of Galilee.
  • DAY 06 Mon . Jan . 02
    BEIT SHE’AN / SAMARIA / SECHEM / SHILOH
    We leave Tiberias and travel south and visit Beth Shean, the Superbowl of Archaeology. We hear the story of Saul and view ruins of the Roman Scythopolis. Thereafter, we drive through the Dotan Valley where Joseph’s brothers threw him into a cistern and pass Samaria, Ahab’s capital. At Nablus (Shechem), we visit the mound of the ancient city where Joshua renewed the covenant. We stop at nearby Jacob’s Well, site of Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman and then we drive onto Shiloh, the first site of the Tabernacle. The day ends at the Lady Stern hotel in Jerusalem.  
  • DAY 07 Tue . Jan . 03
    WESTERN WALL /TEMPLE MOUNT/ CITY OF DAVID
    First thing, we transfer to the Dung Gate. We walk inside the gate and take the time to examine the ruins near the south side of the Temple complex, which includes steps where you may be certain that Jesus taught. We walk to the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site, and view the Dome of the Rock the masterpiece of Islamic art. We enter the Western Wall Tunnel that enables us to examine the length of the outer Herodian Temple wall and gain access to the top of the Temple Mount (if allowed). We continue onto the City of David, the ancient site of the Jebusites and later King David’s domain. Lastly, time permits, we motor to West Jerusalem passing by the Knesset to the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. We drive back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
  • DAY 8 Wed . Jan . 04
    MT. OF OLIVES / HERODIAN / BETHLEHEM
    This morning includes a visit to the Mount of Olives, where we have a group photo taken, and walk down the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Thereafter, we head to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, and visit the Herodian.
  • DAY 9 Thu . Jan . 05
    BETHANY / MASADA / EIN GEDI / QUMRAN / DEAD SEA
    First, we journey to Bethany the home of Martha and Lazarus. Following, we drive through the Judean Desert to Masada where we take the cable car to the top, visiting Herod’s Mountain bunker and the last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against Rome (66-73 AD). We enter the nature reserve of Ein Gedi, rich in flora and fauna, and walk to the waterfall. Here we can also try to imagine a possible cave that recalls the biblical reference (1 Samuel 24:1-3), “Now when Saul returned from pursuing the Philistines, he was told, saying, “Behold, David is in the wilderness of En Gedi.” We visit Qumran the place where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. After floating the Dead Sea (at minus 1390 feet) we return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
  • DAY 10 Fri . Jan . 06
    THE OLD CITY – CHRISTIAN JERUSALEM / AIRPORT
    This morning we transfer to the Lion’s Gate also known as St. Stephens Gate and we walk through the gate to the Church of St. Anne a Byzantine Basilica, which possesses amazing acoustics perfect for group singing. This makes the church a pilgrimage site for soloists and choirs. Also, in the same compound we view the two Pools of Bethesda built during the Roman period as a pagan shrine to either the Egyptian god Serapis or the Greek god Asclepius, both gods of healing and it is where Jesus healed the crippled person. We walk along the Via Delarosa the traditional Byzantine Way of the Cross to the church of the Holy Sepulcher. Then we walk through the Arab Souks and bazaars to Damascus Gate and walk to the Garden Tomb. In the afternoon we will enjoy a farewell dinner and shuttle to the airport for connections back to the USA (overnight flight).
  • DAY 11 Sat . Jan . 07
    ARRIVE BACK IN THE USA
    Today we arrive back in the USA on our flight from Tel Aviv and continue with our connections back to city of origin.
